Family in need of assistance for our car

I'm hoping I'll find a few, or even one good simaritan who could help us through this difficult time we've been experiencing. I feel that if I'm going to ask for help, I should at least explain our situation. We are a family of five, including two young children. My son is severely special needs and requires multiple appointments for surgeries, and his mental health as well. He was just released from a residential behavioral school for special needs and has come home with the stipulation that he attends all doctors appointments leading up to the surgery. That same day, we lost our car due to an error in the registry of motor vehicle system, which was verified by the sheriff himself. But we still run the dilemma of not being financially able to release our car from impound. Without this car, we have no way for my son to get to his appointments safely (I say this because of mental health issues), we need to get my mother, who just had a stroke, to her doctor's appointments, and my daughter who just happened to break her foot and will require surgery for an underlying condition concerning it. Without transportation for our large family, it makes it very difficult. My mother currently helps take care of my children as I just had surgery for a gastrostomy tube placement and am on a 24 hour medical feed pump, so she is the one who normally transports the kids to and from appointments.
