Hello- I have a 1yr old Puerto Rican Matiff for adoption. Think American Staffordshire energy and prey drive, but her build and face are more slender and her ears and tail have not been docked. Leila is an awesome family dog for kids of all ages- goats and dogs her size are fine too! But her prey drive is through the roof, and she has killed cats, chickens, and ducks. So she is not at all for you if you have any small animal. Yes, she has three big dogs and three acres to run on, so daily activity is not an issue. She is crate trained at night and has excellent recall with her name. She is protective of children but not aggressive towards strangers unless the kids scream. In all, Leila could be an only dog with a family who is very active, as she must run for a full 30 minutes each day at least. But no matter how well she is fed, she instinctually hunts small animals. I am asking 200.00 for her to help make sure she goes to a decent home. I am also willing to drive her to you so you can meet her first and see if she is a good fit. I will not leave her to languish in a shelter wondering what happened to her family, but at the same time we have too many small animals to keep her with us. Thank you!
