LEADERSHIP Responsible to protect and promote the interest of Valdez Construction in all matters Assist in early stages of project planning and scheduling Be proactive in the identification of potential problems and recommend solutions Provide centralized leadership and guidance at project level Uses resources within and outside the organization to accomplish responsibilities in the most effective manner Keep managers informed on status of projects. SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT Manage multiple civil construction crews in a safe and productive manner Coordinate subcontractors and the order and delivery of materials Implement Site Specific Safety Plan and task specific hazard analysis Perform daily Quality Control report, safety inspections and production reports Identify potential problems, issue appropriate documentation, and recommend solutions Coordinate all field activities Participate in meetings as required Manage employees to maximize production QUALIFICATIONS 5 + years of experience as a Civil Superintendent of a Commercial Construction Firm. Experience supervising multiple crews on grading, mass earthwork, site work and road construction projects Experience with utility installation project including water mains, storm, sanitary sewer and dry utility systems Experience with shoring procedures and equipment including hydraulic shoring, trench shield and boxes. Proficient in reading and understanding plans and specifications. Experience Microsoft Project, Excel, Word.
