I recently purchased 20 savannah monitor hatchlings. I bought wild caught. And fully expected to receive some that were unhealthy. I am doing a breeding project, so I needed to have enough for 2 trios at least, that is why I bought so many. That being said, after treating for any parasites, and feeding them for some time, all 20 are thriving. I would ask that you know about savs, or at least have reptile experience before inquiring. Savs grow up to be puppies, but can die young with bad husbandry. Please realize that yes, now this is small, but the can get upwards of 5 ft for males. 75 per savannah firm! Yes I know you can get them online for 50, but with the shipping fee it's 100. Also, take into consideration I have treated these animals for parasites, and have looked after them for several weeks to be sure they are eating and growing well. As they are part of a project, all of the records have been kept ad far as weights go and length, and all monitors are marked so I know which is which.
