Schmidt’s Antiques Inc. in Ypsilanti is seeking a reliable and energetic team member to fill the long-term position of General Maintenance Assistant. Main Duties: - General building maintenance: includes moving and cleaning antique inventory and auction consignments. - General grounds maintenance: includes light yardwork and outdoor property upkeep. - Assist with regular auction setup, auction previews and estate sales. - Assist with regular auction and inventory deliveries and pick-ups. Requirements: - High School graduate. - Has received the COVID-19 vaccine. - Has driver’s license. - Strong work ethic with a great attitude and sense of humor. A Strong Candidate: - Shows attention to detail. - Has great listening skills. - Is not afraid to ask questions. - Is looking for a long-term position. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. - A background or interest in antiques and decorative arts a plus, but not necessary.
