Tax dollars spent in a state include medicare, medicaid, government retirees, SS recipients, military bases and ports etc. Since retirees from the blue states tend to leave blue states as soon as they can, they go to red states due to low crime, low taxes, better climate, a better class of people, cheaper housing and food cost etc. Of course, we have our own undesirables like bold print who vote democrat and suck up enormous amounts of welfare and lower the average IQ anywhere they go. Have you ever heard of a retiree leaving a red state and moving to a blue one? Yeah, neither have I.
