The Janitor/Porter will be working directly under the Maintenance Supervisor at our 100 unit community located in Middletown, NY.   As a Porter at Related Management Company (RMC), your work is essential to a clean, safe, and beautiful property. You’ll perform upkeep and janitorial duties so that your property is always in great condition, demonstrating pride in your building and grounds. In this role, you’ll also have the opportunity to learn new skills, working closely with the maintenance team on small repairs and preventative activities. You’ll have the opportunity to learn, practice, and apply new skills for the next steps in your career in partnership with your property’s leaders too. Essential Functions: - Perform upkeep of the property’s common areas and grounds to standard. - Engage in minor maintenance work in coordination with building maintenance team. - Assist in preparation of vacant units with maintenance team. - Provide excellent customer service to residents while performing job duties. - Inspect property and equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality. - Perform snow removal and/or landscaping as needed. - Maintain building supplies and inventory in proper condition. - Communicate with management to address safety concerns as needed. - Support site and office operations as assigned by manager. Work Environment: - Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be able to stand for an 8-hour shift. - This in-person role is based in Middletown, NY. - Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (30 minute lunch) Please note that Related has adopted a COVID-19 vaccination policy to safeguard the health and well-being of our employees.
