Title: Greensman Full time or Part Time Reports to the Golf Course Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent Schedule Full time/seasonal or Part Time/seasonal work available. Normal work week can be in excess of 40 hours, OT pay after 40 hours. Our start times are early in the morning and require work on weekends(1 day) and holidays. Flexible hours, meals and uniforms. This position runs from now until November. College students and retirees encouraged to apply. Basic Functions Operation of various machinery used in the maintenance of the golf course. The general up-keep of course facilities. Capacity Responsible for carrying out of directives from the management staff relating to course maintenance and projects. Aptitude Ability to operate, or be trained to operate, a variety of machinery. The ability to work under supervision. Basic some knowledge of the game of golf is beneficial. Problem Solving Will work under supervision, applying proper procedures to a collection of problems or situations to determine the most effective and efficient solutions. Physical Requirements The inherent nature of this position requires the incumbent to perform routine activities such as digging with a shovel, using common had tools such as, rakes, hammers, shovels, clippers, etc… Must be able to operate in all types of weather and also maintain a flexible work schedule, which includes weekends and holidays. Scope of Responsibilities 1. Mowing of greens, tees, collars, fairways and roughs. 2. Clean-up of the course using hand blowers, fairway blowers and sweepers. 3. Rake sand bunkers with a machine and by hand. 4. Aerification process. 5. Keep equipment and maintenance facility clean as per course standards. 6. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident.
