Farm Hand Part-time 10-15 hours/week May 2022-October 2022 Compensation: $15-$17/hour, depending on experience; 30% discount on everything grown and made at the farm, including value added products We are a small, no till farm, growing specialty crops for market (saffron, ginger, turmeric, garlic, luffas, bottle gourds and a few others like snow peas, fingerling potatoes, charentais melons, rainbow carrots) We’re looking for someone who loves to farm, works collaboratively, and wants to learn more about the crops we grow. As a part-timer, the hours are somewhat flexible, between 7AM and 5PM and any days but Mondays and Tuesdays. The ideal candidate: • Has at least one season of experience working on a farm (higher wage for those who are more experienced) • Is self-motivated to work quickly and efficiently, either alone or with others • Is enthusiastic and positive about the work • Is able to work all day on their feet, can lift heavy things (50 lbs) and perform arduous tasks regardless of the weather Please email us: • Your resume • A cover letter that details your experience and/or the hardest work you’ve ever done.
