STEADY WORK - Regardless of weather. Mauldin SC Company seeks experienced glass worker for Commercial and Residential delivery and install work. Hiring for long term. Full time permanent position Room to advance Trainees starts at $15+, Experienced Glass workers starting pay DOE ($17+) Must have good driving record Must pass Drug and Background screening Install shower enclosures, shower doors, plate glass installation, windows, doors, etc. Assemble, fit, and attach wood/metal-framed glass enclosures. Drive trucks to installation sites, and unload mirrors, glass equipment, and tools. Fabricate and install sashes and moldings for glass installation, using wood, aluminum or steel framing. Install pre-assembled metal or wood frameworks for windows or doors to be fitted with glass panels, using hand tools. Set glass doors into frames, and bolt metal hinges, handles, locks, and other hardware to attach doors to frames and walls. Fasten glass panes into wood sashes or frames with clips, points, or moldings, adding weather seals or putty around pane edges to seal joints. Grind and polish glass, and smooth edges when necessary. Measure and mark outlines or patterns on glass to indicate cutting lines. Read and interpret blueprints and specifications is a plus. Construction or remodeling experience is required* #2. Construction (General Carpenter) $22-25/hr+ DOE General Carpenter $22-25/hr+ DOE Carpenter (able to frame and finish). 10+ years experience preferred. WEEKLY PAY. 2+ Years of welding experience (Sign install experience a huge plus) Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements) Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) Proficient in English Must be able to bring own basic tools (list provided).
