Free Community Event FREE Health and Resource Fair April is National Minority Health Awareness. In the United States, health disparities take on many forms, including higher rates of chronic disease and premature death compared to the rates among our white counterparts. In efforts to lower the statistics, The Prevention Team at The Up Center will provide free screenings that could possibly help with early detection, information that would dispel myths, and education that will improve understanding health concerns that impact the family. This community health and resource fair will provide information and services to address members of all ages within families in the Hampton Roads community. It is our goal to provide information and services to people who wouldn’t be likely to receive it.
