As a part of our 2022 Strategy Series, Dr. José-Mauricio Galli Geleilate will be discussing how to avoid strategy pitfalls!
President Eisenhower wisely stated that plans are useless, but planning is essential. In other words, the value of planning is not in its capacity to predict the future but in the exercise of thinking critically about strategic issues and setting the right direction. The reality, however, is that organizations usually fall into the traps of planning too much or too little. But strategy is more than just a plan.
In this session, I will provide examples of strategy pitfalls to be avoided and tools to deal with them. By recognizing and dealing with these issues using the right tools, managers, leaders, and entrepreneurs should be able to maximize the efficacy and efficiency of their execution. Moreover, avoiding strategy pitfalls should also increase organizational adaptation and innovation as learning, and overall business awareness is increased.
