Discover UVA Engineering! Why are UVA engineers some of the most in-demand professionals in the world today? You can find out during the 2022 Engineering Open House at the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science. All members of the public are welcome to attend Open House and learn how an engineering education can lead to an exciting, meaningful career. Engineers are leaders who make the world a better place by creating knowledge and technologies to advance every aspect of human life. At UVA, our engineers are: developing medical technologies to treat and cure some of the world’s most devastating diseases; making it possible for autonomous systems such as self-driving cars to become part of everyday reality; andsecuring computer systems worldwide from cyberattacks; and helping communities deal with important issues such as climate change and access to clean drinking water.During UVA Engineering’s Open House on Saturday, April 23, 2022, participants will hear from the dean, learn about UVA’s admission process, meet our students and faculty, and see the exciting opportunities awaiting them here. The schedule for the day is as follows, and details about room locations will be forthcoming: 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM – Dean’s Welcome and Admissions Talk 10:30 AM - 10:45 AM – Transition time 10:45 AM - 1:45 PM – Explore UVA Engineering Expo Free parking is available in the lots marked E3 at the top of this UVA Engineering map. Consider attending UVA's free football game! Kickoff is at 4 PM.
