Together with several "go-ahead" men of Saint Mary's Parish in New Haven, Father Michael McGivney proposed establishment of a fraternal benefit society to unite immigrant families in mutual support of each other and serve the needs of their community.
The Blessed Michael McGivney Pilgrimage Center will commemorate this significant occasion with several historical presentations beginning at 11 a.m. Admission and parking at the McGivney Center is free. Refreshments will be served.
The Knights of Columbus has grown to an international organization with more than 2 million members across the globe. Its charitable outreach annually has exceeded $2 billion. Current efforts to provide humanitarian relief for Ukrainian refugees has surpassed $6.8 million.
