Join us for a cup of tea and evening conversation with resident clinical herbalist Torin Murphy of Gnome Apothecary who will be introducing us to the incredible healing field of plants and herbs as it relates to the spirit and season of spring. We will discuss the foundation of functional herbalism at large, as it relates to the seasonality. As the season shifts, and spring awakens, so too our society is experiencing a collective shift in our global consciousness and global immunity. It is important that we take the time to remember these plants that remain by our side, as they too, are patiently waiting for us to remember the magic they have to offer us! Too often have we seen gaps in the scope of conventional western medicine, which overlooks preventative care. In this class/workshop Torin will bring his knowledge of traditional herbal medicine and lead us in a discussion on how to integrate herbs into our daily lives, as well as provide tools and resources we can use for preventive care, and at home remedies. The teachings of herbal medicine are rooted in a comprehensive approach, illuminating the path of returning to the wisdom of the plants that we have co-evolved with. The People's medicine is available, accessible, abundant, and well within the reach of modern society, empowers us with the ability to build our immunity, and supports our well-being. Welcoming healing plants into our daily lives enables us to participate in an energetic reciprocation realizing ourselves as part of Nature, not separate from it. This simple realization unlocks great potential for mental, physical, and spiritual growth. This is a hybrid event, both in person and via Zoom. Location: Rising Earth Healing Arts: 520 Main Street, Suite 1A Beacon, NY (In Solarena Acupuncture) *Please Note in e-mail if you will be attending in person or via zoom. Zoom link will be sent the day of event. We look forward to gathering together in community.
