Join us for a free walking tour of the birthplace of our city. The bluff overlooking the Trinity River. Join us for a free walking tour of the birthplace of our city. From the original Army outpost on a bluff overlooking the Trinity River Fort Worth has grown to become the nation's 12th largest city. There's lots of great history to be found in the area including our majestic county courthouse, and a timely view of the Panther Island project which one day will double the size of downtown. Just make your reservations (space is limited) and come learn some fascinating facts in this all-new tour. We start at the historic T&P Train Station on the patio next to The T&P Tavern at 9:00 am. The monthly tours are led by knowledgeable guides who share a love of Fort Worth history. Free parking at meters along W Lancaster Avenue or paid parking in the lot in front of The T&P building.Transportation directly to The T&P Station from Dallas, DFW Airport and mid-city transit stations is available via Trinity Metro.   So there will be plenty of breakfast burritos & tour guides please RSVP. This tour is free to individuals and families. SPECIAL COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS FOR OUR TOUR. Please help us to exercise the following safety precautions … Masks are not required. Please observe appropriate social distancing.Tour guides will not wear masks as this will make hearing very difficult. Please keep a 6 foot distance from guides. We have asked them to deliver their remarks at a volume sufficient for everyone to hear and understand.Please do not attend if you have had any suspect symptoms or have been in contact with an infected person or if you suspect you may have been.We will be meeting outside at the patio by The T&P Tavern. Walking tour attendees will not be permitted inside the T&P Lofts lobby. (restrooms are available in the breezeway by the T&P Tavern)Thank you for understanding and abiding by these rules.
