We will address the LIES, LIMITATIONS, and LABELS that are placed on disenfranchised, and children of color in the classroom, and community. This session is designed to address the LIES, LIMITATIONS, and LABELS that continue to be placed on disenfranchised, and children of color. Unfortunately, our children are overrepresented in alternative education programs, special education programs, and they continue to be disciplined at a higher rate when compared to their counterparts. The issues/challenges that our children encounter does not end when they leave the schoolhouse but continues to carry over into our communities. Dr. & Sgt. Bradford have a total of fifty years of experience in the fields of education and law enforcement. Their experience as classroom teacher, administrator, and law enforcement officer will provide an insight look into the other side of the classroom/community. In this session they will share strategies with parents to ensure that you focus on: M - Mindset A - Accountability/Action I - Intentional N - Nurturing T - Time A - Authentic I - Integrity N - No - Regrets Please join us as we come together and learn how to destroy the LIES, LIMITATIONS, and LABELS that society attempts to place on our children and their future.
