Please join us for a meet and greet to welcome Natalia as LEE's new Director of Houston Impact! Please join me in welcoming Natalia Fernández as the new Director of Houston Impact! I am extremely excited to pass the baton to Natalia. Natalia’s job will be to support the collective impact of the LEE network, your individual career development, and help you take action on issues you care most about. You can trust and believe that you have access to a true expert dedicated to making educational equity a reality in Houston. Natalia has been an active LEE member since the Houston region began. She participated in programs across all of our civic leadership pathways while building her own senior-level career within Texas school systems. Natalia has been in the room where it happens when it comes to making policies that directly impact kids and has coached system leaders, including superintendents, to make equity-focused decisions. Natalia has also led from the outside of systems as one of the founding members of ONE Houston, the organizing alliance that advocates for change and gets results at the local, state, and federal level. Natalia shared that she knows “LEE exists to remove barriers in the way of long term change.” That’s exactly right. I cannot wait to see what we do together!
