Southwestern University presents an in-person screening of David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet
The Georgetown Green Film Series was established to bring awareness to the environmental crisis through the visual arts by presenting films with an environmental focus for free to the Georgetown and neighboring communities. In addition to showing an environmental film, a panel of experts is invited to lead a proactive discussion with the audience about the topic at hand.
To kick off Earth Month, we will be screening David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet, a 2020 documentary film about humanity's impact on nature. In this unique feature documentary, the celebrated naturalist reflects upon both the defining moments of his lifetime and the devastating changes he has seen. The film addresses some of the biggest challenges facing life on our planet, providing a snapshot of global nature loss in a single lifetime. With it comes a powerful message of hope for future generations as Attenborough reveals the solutions to help save our planet from disaster.
