Join us for the "Women In Jazz" 2020 Reunion featuring Anna Helms Quartet and other local female jazz artists. This is a family-friendly event taking place at the Sustainable Future Center. We are excited to host the "Women In Jazz" 2020 Reunion featuring Anna Helms Quartet! Doors open at 5:30. The "Women in Jazz" Reunion starts at 6:00 and ends at 7:00. Performers include local musicians Anna Helms, Kelle Jolly, Ayca Yayman, Kerry Morrison, Jeanine Fuller, Ree Gray, Francesca Follone, and Mary Edwards and more. Intermission is 7:00 to 7:30 Anna Helms Quartet 7:30 to 8:30 Rising stars in the Knoxville Jazz scene, The Anna Helms Quartet is a group of Knoxville musicians who met while enrolled in the University of Tennessee's jazz program. Anna Helms is a saxophonist, composer, and vocalist who has studied with Greg Tardy, Will Boyd, and Donald Brown. She will be joined by bandmates Faith Harris on drums, Nick Jernigan on bass, and Sam Adams on keys. Anna Helms Quartet plays often at the Bistro at the Bijou and has been featured at events such as the Knoxville Women in Jazz Jam Festival and the Rose Center Music Series. Event informationThis event will take place outdoors, rain or shine. The event is open to all ages, with any children under 18 accompanied by a guardian. Parking will be on property at the Sustainable Future Center with overflow parking at the Boy's and Girl Club next door. Alcohol is not permitted on the premises.
