The Golden Tiger Reunion is an annual event intended to serve as a celebration for the 50th anniversary class. Congratulations Tiger! It is time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of your graduation from Clemson. The Golden Tiger Reunion is an annual event intended to serve as the class reunion for all classes who have previously been inducted as Golden Tigers in years past and as a celebration for the 50th anniversary class. Golden Tigers are invited back to campus to reunite with their old classmates and friends to reminisce about their days as students and to learn about what is happening at Clemson today. Due to the postponement of reunion in 2020 and 2021, you will celebrate your 50th reunion along with the classes of 1970 and 1971. As a member of the 50th class, you will be honored by being inducted into the Golden Tiger Society which is a formal event similar to graduation. Each Golden Tiger will be presented with a Golden Tiger lapel pin and an official Golden Tiger Society Induction Certificate to commemorate the day. The Golden Tiger class will also present their Class Gift to the university along with participating in the other reunion activities planned for all to enjoy including university presentations, campus updates, campus tours and activities. Details of these events are listed in this brochure. Schedule of Events Wednesday, June 8, 2022 2:00 pm – The 2022 Golden Tiger Reunion Golf Scramble Members of the classes of 1970, 1971 & 1972 are invited to kick off their 50th reunion with the 2022 Golden Tiger Reunion Golf Scramble! The shotgun start will begin at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the Walker Golf Course at the Madren Conference Center on Clemson's campus. Registrants will enjoy an afternoon of golf along the edge of Clemson's campus and Lake Hartwell and conclude the afternoon with a social and pre-reunion check-in at the Madren Conference Center. Registration is $100 per single player and $400 per team. To register, visit alumni.clemson.edu/gtgolfscramble22. 6:00 – 8:00 pm - Class Meet & Greet Grand Hallway, Madren Conference Center Mingle with your fellow reunion classmates and check-in for the upcoming festivities and receive your registration packet at the Class Meet and Greet on Wednesday evening in the Grand Hallway, inside the Madren Conference Center. Food and drink are not provided at this event, however guests may enjoy the conference center restaurant, Sole on the Green. Reservations can be made by calling 864-656-7444. Thursday, June 9, 2022 7:30 – Reunion Registration and Check-in Opens - Madren Center 10:00 am – Noon - Transportation of the Class of 1972 from Madren Conference Center to Cooper Library for Orange Glove event. Take a walk down memory lane through various Clemson archives and artifacts from the year 1972. Noon – 1:00 pm – Lunch Break “Lunch on your Own” *Price & transportation not included in registration* . Time on your own to rest/refresh, enjoy Clemson, downtown and campus. 1:00 – 1:30 pm - Transportation of the Class of 1972 to your Golden Tiger Induction Ceremony at Tillman Hall from Madren Conference Center. 2:00 – 4:00 pm - Golden Tiger Induction Ceremony for Class of 1972 . Class of 1972 Gift Celebration . Class photo will be taken at this time . Attire: Sunday dress; men please wear blue blazer & tie, ladies Sunday dress/ business professional. 4:00 pm – Transportation of Class of 1972 back to Madren Conference Center for Refresh Break 5:00 – 6:00pm – Social Hour – Open Bar. Madren Center Lobby (all reunion guests) 6:00 pm – until – Welcome Reception – All Reunion Guests Enjoy an evening gathering with your classmates celebrating the student organizations and activities that you participated in while you were a student. Heavy hors d’oeuvres. Entertainment includes DJ and dancing to the hits of the 60’s and 70’s. $55 per person. Attire: Casual Dress. Madren Center Ball Room Friday, June 10, 2022 7:30 am – Refreshments Enjoy refreshments and lite pastries prior to the day’s activities in the Grand Hallway of the Madren Conference Center. Refreshments are complimentary. 9:00 – 11:30am – Tours & Activities for all reunion guests. Tours and activities to be announced closer to the date. Tours and Activities are first come, first served and participants must register for these activities at check-in. Noon – Clemson Family Luncheon - All Reunion Attendees – Remarks from faculty & staff. Casual Dress. $35 per person . 2:00 – 5:00pm – Tours & Activities for all reunion guests. Tours and activities to be announced closer to the date. Tours and Activities are first come, first served and participants must register for these activities at check-in. 5:00 – 6:00pm – Social Hour – Open Bar. Madren Center Lobby (all reunion guests) 6:00pm – Until – Golden Tiger Class Party at the Pavilion at the Madren Conference Center celebrating the Classes if 1970, 1971 and 1972. This is an outdoor event. Please dress accordingly. Casual Dress. $75 per person.
