This training is for victim service providers, law enforcement, and interested community members. This seminar will cover topics on empowering victims. Sessions include “SCVAN and Our Services,” “Helping Victims Tell Their Story,” “Why Restraining Orders Matter,” “Safety Planning with Victims” and “Resolution and Restitution.” Attendees will learn how to help a victim write an impact statement and prepare for court. They will learn how to safety plan and when a restraining order may be necessary. Finally, attendees will learn about restitution and how victims can have resolution.
