An Adventure with The Spindle Ahhhhh here we are..Spring is breathing new life to earth, and the Georgia dirt beckons the ramblers within to heed its call of adventure! The Spindle is here to heed that call, so join us as we set sail for our Spring Campout! Starting in Harelson, Ga. We’ll lead a group of wanderers through roughly 45 miles of mixed surface Spindle style, with views, small towns, and some cool quick stops ending at Towerhouse Farm Brewery in Gay, Ga. where we’ll camp on site for the eve! Day 2 we’ll pack it up and head back to Harelson on a kiss under 20 miles of more gravel fun making it back to our cars for the drive back to our abodes! The ride will depart early Saturday, April 23, and return Sunday, April 24. There will be stretches of dirt/gravel for day one and day two. Be sure you're well equipped and prepared for various terrains. We want each person to complete this ride safely, so make sure you are up to the task. If you feel at any certain point that you cannot make the full trip, you are responsible for arranging emergency pick-up. The Spindle’s aim is to curate an experience where you learn how to pack and ride your bike for future bike packing jaunts, adding other riders who are eager to learn and enjoy the journey with you. We roll at an anjoyable 10-12 mph pace to enjoy our surroundings and camaraderie! Tickets will be $75..The following will be provided: - A safe space to park in Harelson, Ga - a rousing ramble with some rad folx - 2 beers and Pizza when arrived at Towerhouse Farm Brewery - Camping on property - Wood for fire - Camp snacks - Bathrooms at Camp You will need: - Lunch/dinner/breakfast - Snacks & water - Money for extra snacks along various stops on the route (or just pack ALL THE SNACKS!) - Comfy after-ride footwear - Extra clothes - Tent - Sleeping bag/pad - Flashlight - Any other camping provisions you feel you need Space is very limited for this event. We will share more info as we get closer to the camp out.
