GREENFIELD, WI — A man broke into the Speedway at 3390 West Loomis Road on Friday around 4 a.m. by breaking the glass front door with a crowbar, Greenfield Police Department call logs report. The man, wearing all black, tried to get to the cash registers, but couldn't get through the bulletproof glass, logs say. He took a large garbage bin from the business and filled it with candy and 5-Hour Energy drinks, then left the business in a vehicle, logs say. About a half-hour later, an alarm started sounding at a business on the 2700 block of Ramsey Avenue and a broken window was discovered, police logs say. Both incidents may have the same suspect, logs say.
