Please join us for our Forge's Gardening Event in partnership with BBG and Alabama Extensions! Flower Arrangements with Forge At May's class, participants will learn about the ways to find joy in the little things with Rashad Hayes, CEO of Shad & Associates LLC. Mr. Hayes is a motivational speaker, author and entrepreneur that specializes in helping individuals cultivate their pain and repurpose it as fuel to enrich, empower and elevate their lives. Participants will also be taught about making a flower arrangement by a Master Gardener. Forge will provide all supplies, but if you have a favorite vase, feel free to bring it with you! Hosted by Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center, Alabama Cooperative Extension System, and Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Forge's gardening classes are for anyone who has ever been diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as their loved ones and the healthcare professionals that serve them. Please note: This event will be held in the Hodges room. Please follow the Forge signs or check in with the front desk for specific directions to the room. Current COVID-19 guidelines from the City of Birmingham's Park & Recreation Department require social distancing with optional masks for all vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals while visiting a city-owned venue. If guidelines change before the date of the event, Forge will provide an update.
