Here are the top three stories in Buffalo today: The Queen City Bike Ferry, a popular waterfront attraction, will serve bicyclists and pedestrians for at least three more years. The Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation (EDHCD) extended the seasonal ferry's contract by three years, allowing it to take even more visitors and residents along the Buffalo River. Said ECHDC Chairman Robert Gioia, "Continuing this service allows easy access for bicyclists and pedestrians to the many attractions of our city's greatest asset: the waterfront."(WGRZ.com)This Thursday evening, Buffalo residents will have the opportunity to meet the city's new Police Commissioner. The Common Council is hosting a Town Hall meeting with Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia, to be held at the Frederick Law Olmsted at Kensington School #156. Gramaglia, who was formally sworn in by Mayor Byron Brown, succeeds the now-retired Commissioner Byron Lockwood. The Bills have signed Matt Barkley, who first signed with the team in 2018 before leaving Buffalo in 2020, to a one-year contract. Barkley is now the Buffalo Bills' third quarterback.
