SUMMIT, NJ — Two men wearing masks entered unlocked vehicles in Summit over the weekend, according to a Nixle alert from Summit police. The two unlocked vehicles were located in front of a residence on Hillcrest Avenue in the area of Beechwood Road on Saturday, the alert said. According to Acting Chief Steven Zagorski, the masked men entered the vehicles at around 3:22 p.m. but quickly exited the cars when confronted by the homeowner. They then got into a stolen white BMW x3 and drove off toward Woodland Avenue. Residents are urged to contact Summit police if any suspicious activity or the vehicle in question is observed.
