VERNON HILLS, IL — The Vernon Hills Police Department is asking for the public's help in tracking down two armed robbers accused of holding up a convenience store early Sunday, police said. Authorities were called to Bucky's Convenience Store, 294 E. Townline Road, at 3:11 a.m. in response to the armed robbery.
A convenience store clerk told police two men wearing hoods entered the store and pulled out a pistol before demanding cash from the register, according to a news release from the Vernon Hills Police Department.
The clerk refused to hand over the money, and the suspects fled the scene, police said.
No arrests have been made and the armed robbery remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the armed robbery can call Commander Todd Williams at 847-247-4884.
