Strange Odor Leads To Building Evacuation

VERNON HILLS, IL — The Countryside Fire Protection District was called to a building in the 200 block of West Court of Shorewood in Vernon Hills for a report of an unknown odor Monday evening, the Daily Herald is reporting. All residents were evacuated from the building but were later allowed to return after hazmat technicians investigated and deemed the odor to be safe. No one was injured in the incident.
