Press release from the Colorado Springs Police Department: March 21, 2022 On March 15, 2022, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the area of Marksheffel Road and Tamlin Road regarding a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers found that a motorcycle and truck had crashed. They also located the motorcycle driver suffering from serious, life-threating injuries. Following immediate medical care on scene by the Colorado Springs Fire Department, the injured party was transported from the scene to a local hospital for further treatment where they later succumbed to their injuries. Due to the nature of the crash, the CSPD's Major Crash team responded and took responsibility for the investigation. The preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcycle rider was westbound on Tamlin Road at Marksheffel Road when they attempted to make a northbound turn.
