BALTIMORE, MD — A deadly crash on Interstate 395 resulted in detours Monday morning for drivers headed to Baltimore City, according to officials. The crash prompted road closures for more than three hours.
I-395 was closed to southbound traffic until about 9:45 a.m., according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.
The crash occurred around 6:15 a.m. on I-395, where someone was walking in the road near M&T Bank Stadium and Camden Yards, according to the Baltimore Sun.
One person was pronounced deceased at the crash on I-395 at West Conway Street, according to the Baltimore City Fire Department, which reported the collision involved a pedestrian.
"I-395 ramps into and out of downtown are blocked," fire officials said around 7:45 a.m.
Hanover, Russell, Pratt and Conway streets were impacted by the closure, WMAR reported.
