Hey, neighbors! It's me again, Shannon Denney, your host of the New Orleans Daily. First, today's weather: Breezy with clouds and sun. High: 76 Low: 70. Here are the top three stories today in New Orleans: At a business at the intersection of Bourbon and St. Peters streets early Sunday morning, a man was hit in the chest by a stray bullet fired from outside the building. He died inside the Bourbon Street business. NOPD has since arrested and charged the person allegedly responsible for the crime. (WDSU New Orleans) A woman was found dead early Saturday on a Central City sidewalk. Around 3 am, NOPD officers responded to a call nearby and found an unresponsive woman who had suffered a gunshot wound, she was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services. NOPD hasn't released any further details, including her identity, but intends to after an autopsy and notification of her family. (Uptown Messenger) Sentencing has finally been delivered for a bank larceny crime dating back to 2015 that involved using information from a Metairie clinic patient data source to steal $200,000. The assistant attorney general sentenced the main perpetrator to 15 months in prison plus three years probation and to pay restitution.
