Description
PHOENIXVILLE — The Phoenixville YMCA is hosting the nonprofit's first pickleball tournament at its annual spring festival from 8 a.m.to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 23.
The tournament provides two competition levels, beginner/intermediate and advanced/beginner.
Both brackets are mixed doubles, with one male and one female player.
Pickleball is a racket sport that combines the skills used in tennis, badminton and table tennis.
The sport has less movement than tennis, but requires the same level of agility.
During the tournament, spectators can enjoy an outdoor spring festival with food trucks, a beer garden, activities and games for people of all ages - featuring live music by Philly-based Nik Greeley & The Operators.
The cost to participate in the tournament is $100 ($50 per player in a two-player team)
More information and registration for the tournament is available here.
