NAPERVILLE, IL — The DuPage Children's Museum recently received a grant of $302,700 to help fund "The Questioneers: Read. Question. Think. Play!," a permanent exhibit that explores diversity and encourages curiosity and exploration. The Illinois Public Museum Capital Grant was awarded as part of Gov. J.B. Pritzker's Rebuild Illinois program. The "Questioneers," which debuted Oct. 1, 2021, is an interactive exhibit in which kids embark on projects related to architecture, engineering, science and politics with the help of a diverse cast of characters who are experts in those fields. The exhibition aims to help children learn about problem-solving, cooperation and trail-and-error, among other lessons. Inspired by the eponymous book series by Naperville resident Andrea Beaty, "The Questioneers," also works to foster social and emotional development in children. A news release said, "Most importantly, children will learn that despite inevitable challenges, they should always continue to 'Read. Question. Think.' - and never give up on their dreams."
