JOLIET, IL — The Will County Coroner's Office announced Monday that skeletal remains found just outside the Joliet city limits have been identified, according to a Facebook post from the Coroner's Office. The remains are of Pamela Ann Vincent, of Joliet, who was last seen alive Aug. 17, 2015, according to the Coroner's Office. Vincent was 38 years old when she went missing. The remains were identified by the Will County Coroner's Office Cold Case Division with the assistance of dental records that were on file with the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, according to the Coroner's Office. Cold Case Investigators Gene Sullivan and Joe Piper tracked down those records after receiving a tip on the Will County Coroner's Office Facebook page. The dental comparison was performed by Dr. Edward Pavlik, a forensic odontologist in Frankfort, according to the Coroner's Office. Vincent's remains were discovered Feb. 23 in a wooded area along the 700 block of Patterson Road outside Joliet city limits, according to the Will County Sheriff's Office. Numerous bones, including a human skull, a femur bone and ribs, were discovered scattered about the area, which is heavily wooded, the sheriff's office said.
