Press release from the City of Fargo: March 18, 2022 The City of Fargo has two openings on its Economic Development Incentives Committee. Applications will begin to be reviewed on April 22, 2022, and applying before that date is encouraged and appreciated. Name of Board: Economic Development Incentives Committee Opening: Two (2) Members Meeting Logistics: Fourth Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m. City Commission Chambers, Fargo City Hall Average Time Commitment: Two (2) hours per month, one hour meeting and one hour of agenda review. Responsibilities: Support economic development through the use of available tax incentive programs by: Creating high quality jobs with new or expanding businesses Promoting historic preservation and development downtown Supporting affordable housing Support redevelopment of brownfields and blighted areas Growing the City's tax base In addition to this opening, residents are encouraged to research and apply for appointment to any of the boards, commissions and committees for consideration in the event of future vacancies.
