ALBANY, CA — The Albany Fire Department is hiring firefighters/paramedics. The firefighter/paramedic role performs various duties to protect life and property, including: All phases of firefighting, fire prevention Public education about fire prevention and disaster preparedness Responding to emergency medical, fire, rescue, and hazardous materials alarms and public service calls Vehicle and equipment inspections Cleaning and reloading equipment Applicants must have at least a 12th grade education, training in fire science and related fields, and at least 6 months of experience as a full-time paramedic at the time of application.
