WANTED: RESPONSIBLE ISLAND CARETAKER IN PORTLAND, MAINE for Summer 2022. This is a beautiful private island, with a luxury yurt campground and event venue and beautiful 40,000 sq foot historic fort. We are looking for someone who can spend 5-7 nights/week on the island. You would be sleeping in your own tent (no housing in the luxury sites just yet for us employees)! Composting toilet restrooms, portable solar showers, food, weekly stipend, off-duty time, transportation to and from the island, and end-of-season bonus are all provided. Come work with GREAT people stewarding in an incredible place. Any/all of the following experience preferred: hospitality, housekeeping, carpentry, landscaping, and trail maintenance. BONUS if you're a total people-person and can lead historic tours. Schedule is flexible - start as early as May 1, end as late as mid-October.
