TINLEY PARK, IL — A Gary, Indiana, man accused of killing a mother of three after they attended a concert in Tinley Park together has been released and placed on home monitoring after a judge ruled the state was taking too long to bring him to trial. Sidne-Nichole Buchanan, 27, was found dead in the Thornton-Lansing Road Nature Preserve in Cook County near the Indiana border in August 2019, nearly a month after she was reported missing. James McGhee, 39, is charged with first-degree murder in Buchanan's death. Indiana Judge Diana Boswell upheld her ruling that McGhee should be released with an ankle monitor because the state took too long to bring him to trial, WGN reported. McGhee is accused of taking Buchanan to his apartment after attending a Wiz Khalifa concert with her at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park and beating her to death. The FBI offered a $10,000 reward for information on Buchanan after her disappearance on July 27, 2019.
