Peter Pan Seafood will be onsite Monday 3/21 at Hampton Inn Tropicana located at 4975 Dean Martin Drive in Vegas conducting informational sessions and interviews from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Come out and learn more about how you can work in Alaska this summer! Travel, room and board, food, laundry service and gear all provided while onsite. As a Seafood Processor, your work can encompass several different activities and tasks, which can include sliming, sorting and grading fish; loading fish into the freezer; boxing frozen fish (25-50lbs); cleaning the processing equipment or area; or preparing and boxing salmon roe. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list as there are too many tasks to list here. Among other things, the timing of the fishing season, the quantity of fish we receive at the plant, our production capacity and schedule, as well as your aptitude, abilities, and attitude will play a part in determining your job as a Processor. In any of these different departments a processor is expected to work 12 to 16 hours every day, seven days a week. Whatever department you are assigned to will most likely be physically strenuous, wet, cold and loud. Requirements Must be 18 years of age Must apply and complete an application online (not a guarantee of employment) Have a valid photo identification and US employment authorization Pass a background check Complete a post offer medical placement questionnaire Must observe COVID-19-related policies and procedures. Must be able to work in a remote area of Alaska.
