Female Black Capped Conure Looking for a home for a pampered bird. Pixie is well trained and loves attention. She loves dancing and “singing” to music. Especially from Madagascar. She loves big families and lots of attention. Or a home with someone who will be home all the time to love her up. She does well with older children but is afraid of little kids (Please don't let children bang on her cage). She would do well in a home without cats, so that she can fly around often. She is fed seed specifically for her breed, which we order in large quantities at bird shows. We also give her fresh organic fruits and veggies, chopped up into little pieces on a plate or hand-fed. She loves fresh water for drinking and a bath daily. Pixie is a very clean bird. She meticulously cleans her cage. She loves toys that she can tear up and her fluffy nest for bedtime. Note: We use paper or plant-based toys. Yarn and string can be dangerous and deadly to birds. We are sadly rehoming our pets due to severe allergies and asthma in my 12-year-old son. This is very hard on us, and our pets. We’d like to find a home that is equal to ours in love. If possible we would love occasional updates. We will be very picky and selective to find the perfect home for her. Please tell us all about you and what you can do to bring Pixie happiness. Someone close to Hastings would be best for her sake, so she doesn’t have to drive too far. Conures can go for $400 to well over $3000 or even more depending on color and rarity. Conures love attention and are highly intelligent. They aren't meant to sit in a cage all day. I'm also hoping that by rehoming Pixie for cheaper than that, I'm not putting her at risk.
