ST. CHARLES, IL — A second round of coronavirus testing at Kane County's juvenile detention center revealed three new coronavirus cases, officials said Tuesday. Two employees and a minor being held at the facility tested positive during a recent round of testing, according to Kane County Court Administrator Doug Naughton. The minor is being isolated from others, and the two employees are quarantining at home, Naughton said in a release. The Kane County Juvenile Justice Center previously had eight cases — four minors and four employees — but all have recovered, the release states. The detention center is expected to reopen early next week if there are no new cases.
