APPLY NOW: www.trilliumfamily.org/careers Job Summary: Responsible for skilled maintenance and repairs of the physical facilities of the TFS campuses. Position requires the willingness to respond to emergencies relating to plan operations. Requires driving company vehicles and the use of electrical equipment DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform or assist minor renovation and repairs to buildings and plant systems, including preparing and painting interior surfaces, carpentry, dry wall, plumbing, electrical and glazing Perform weekly/monthly inspections of the HVAC emergency generator, heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, emergency utility shutoffs, fire alarm control box memory and functions and other areas requiring inspections on assigned campus and as directed by supervisor Produce clear and accurate written and oral reports regarding inspections and completion of repairs, renovations and other duties performed Drive agency vehicles on department business If assigned by supervisor, carry pager or communication device at least one week per month during off-duty hours, responding to after hours calls for emergency assistance when requested by authorized staff, arranging technical assistance calls as needed Conduct fire extinguisher checks and oversee fire drills for all buildings on campus Assist and direct independent contractors in building repairs and projects as requested by supervisor Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure for cleaning. Uses and maintains cleaning equipment. Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, standard precautions and isolation precautions. Assist in grounds maintenance, as needed Assist in housekeeping, janitorial and sanitation services within various buildings as needed Complete all training required for the position ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: In the absence of the department assistant manager, manager/director, and in consultation with the CFO, handle urgent, contractual needs of the agency to maintain on-going operation, as required; Other duties may be assigned. Education: Degree not required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Maintain a driving record acceptable by the agency and a current driver’s license for state of residence, when authorized to use own vehicle for agency business, employee must maintain personal insurance. Experience: 1 year in the maintenance/building trades or in remodeling construction type work preferred. Training opportunities available. Skills: Must be able to read, interpret and follow verbal and written directions and have the ability to effectively communicate through verbal and written skills.
