POWAY, CA — Health officials confirmed 57 new coronavirus cases and an additional COVID-19 death on Monday, bringing San Diego County's totals to 2,325 cases and 72 deaths. Of the cases, 21 are residents in Poway. A total of 562 people have been hospitalized due to the virus, with 189 placed in intensive care since the coronavirus pandemic first came to the county. There have been 1,332 documented COVID-19 recoveries, according to county data. Nearly 34,000 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the county.
