City Wide Facility Solutions is looking for a Maintenance Technician/ Handyman to perform general facility repairs, preventative maintenance tasks, and minor construction projects at City Wide managed buildings throughout Austin and surrounding areas. Responsibilities-- include but not limited to: Perform maintenance and light repairs Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.) Undertake light installation or carpenting (e.g. build cabinets) Repair equipment or appliances Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scaping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc and finish painting Repair light fixtures and/ or ballasts; other minor electrical work Drywall repair Assemble furniture Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow) Requirements: Proven experience as handyman Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems Basic math skills Good communication ability Well-organized and apt in problem-solving Attention to detail High school diploma or equivalent Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.) Must possess basic hand and power tools Benefits: City Wide Facility Solutions is pleased to offer a comprehensive and competitive comp program that rewards talented employees for solid performance.
