BATAVIA, IL — Coronavirus cases are growing quickly within St. Charles District 303, which experienced a 111 percent increase in cases in two weeks. District 303 reported 135 total cases Monday, up from 64 on Oct. 20, according to the district's coronavirus dashboard. A hundred of those cases are students attending in-person classes or participating in school-sponsored activities, including 24 across the district's two high schools. There have been 61 confirmed cases within District 303 elementary schools and early childhood education program since students returned to in-person learning Aug. 19, the dashboard shows. As of Monday, there were three dozen total cases within the district's two middle schools and 31 total cases among high school students and staff.
