Iguana - Lost Pet?

I found an iguana, a male, who is older and a bit gimpy, but is very easy to handle in Fort Pierce. Based on his behavior with me, I suspect he was a pet. (He never bites and only occasionally opens his mouth to warn me when I startle him.) I found him near the intersection of Orange Avenue and Angle Road, in Fort Pierce.
