Mosser Wins Kane County State's Attorney Race

KANE COUNTY, IL — Jamie Mosser was elected this week to serve as Kane County state's attorney, five years after leaving the office to open her own practice. Though there are as many as 10,000 mail-in votes still to be tallied in the county, Mosser declared victory on Election Night after getting a "gracious call" from her opponent, Republican Bob Spence, of Batavia. The Democrat from Campton Hills leads Spence by nearly three percentage points, as of Thursday morning, with 114,126 votes to Spence's 107,478 votes. "Thank you to everyone who came out and voted. Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way," Mosser wrote Tuesday on Facebook. "I am so excited to do more for Kane County as the next State's Attorney!!!"
