ST. CHARLES, IL — A St. Charles man is facing felony charges after prosecutors alleged he drove to northwestern Kane County to sexually assault a minor.
Eduardo Castillo-Vivaldo, 26, was recently charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault and four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to a news release from Kane County State's Attorney Joe McMahon.

Castillo-Vivaldo met a minor through social media and continued contacting them after being told multiple times that they were under 18, prosecutors said in the release. Prosecutors allege Castillo-Vivaldo drove to the minor's home Aug. 20, where he sexually assaulted the minor.
Castillo-Vivaldo turned himself into authorities Monday, prosecutors said. He is being held at the Kane County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
