Martin Marietta's Ames Mine is hosting an Open Interview Day on March 29th between 9AM-3PM! Our Ames Mine is located at 831 E Riverside Rd, Ames IA 50010, to get to the employee building you'll continue North on Dayton Ave. and take your first left past the MM gates! Come on out to the Ames Mine employee building for on-site interviews and site tours! Martin Marietta will also be providing lunch for their employees, applicants and guests! Martin Marietta is currently looking for energized individuals to join our team at an underground limestone mine on the North side of Ames. This position would be part of night shift operating a variety of mining equipment, including scalers, haul trucks, loaders, water truck, etc. Ames has a variety of shifts available including working a rotating schedule (4 on/3 off, 3 on/4off) or Monday-Friday. **To apply please visit www.martinmarietta.com** Position Responsibilities: -Responsible for operating a variety of off road haul trucks and other equipment utilized in mining which could include scalers, loaders, skid loaders, etc. -Perform daily inspection of vehicle and work area as assigned -Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation -Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment; clean equipment -Assist on plant maintenance and repairs as needed -Other mining related duties as required Position Requirements -Must be safety conscious, dependable, motivated and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a team -High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required -Minimum 1 year previous experience in a role with similar responsibilities, will train the right candidate! -Overtime and weekend work as required -Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills -Training will be provided -Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check Martin Marietta Offers Benefits on Your First Day! -Medical -Dental -Vision -15 Days of PTO -Company Matched 401K -Life Insurance -Tuition Assistance -Adoption Assistance -And Much More! **To apply for immediate interviews please visit www.martinmarietta.com**
